I'm looking for any VPN client that will allow me to connect to my company's Cisco VPN from my amd64 machine which runs both Windows XP 64-bit Edition (RTM), and a 64 bit installation of Gentoo Linux.

Does a 64-bit compatable VPN client exist for either Windows XP 64 bit Edition or Linux? I just called Cisco about this and they seemed pretty clueless. The guy I talked to didn't even know that Windows XP Pro 64-bit Edition had gone gold. He said it "will be a couple of months before we release a Windows 64-bit compatable VPN client", but I suspect he was just blowing smoke. When I asked about the Linux client, he said they had one but he didn't even know that it didn't work on a 64-bit Linux machine. I shouldn't have to chroot/boot into/emulate a 32bit OS to use VPN!

Amd64 chips have been out for over a year. Whats taking people so long to release compatable products?! Arghh.... If you feel the same way I do, call up Cisco at 1-800-553-2447 and get them to pressure their developers to release 64-bit compatable products. :D
