SO after finally giving up on ATI releasing drivers for my TV card I bought a Elite as there were drivers listed on the ATI website for X64. My problem is after I launch BeyondTV I get a BSoD error and a physical memory dump. After a reboot I get a message from MS saying I have a driver error on one of my components(My Tv card obviously). Rather ticked as I just got my HP scanner to work and the TV is the only other item I'm lacking right now.

Some system specs. FWIW this config has been running stable for about 6 months now.

ASUS A8R-MVP
AMD 3700+ Sandy
2 Gig of Corsair XMS(512X4)
500 watt Antec NEO HE
x800 PRO and X800 Crossfire both by Sapphire

Problem fixed. FWIW, if anyone else buys the card. Forget about the software bundled with it. You will have to use a 3rd party software program. The installation CD tries to install the XP drivers and screws everything up. Just download the X64 drivers from ATI and use a 3rd party software program for the actual TV viewing.

Thanks for the information... It seems trying to get TV on your puter is a hit and miss affair, especially for us x64 users.

I am torn on which card to get. But after EXTREME amounts of research it looks like Hauppauge is the one that should work no problem and ATI is the one that MIGHT work if Im lucky. The user reviews over at Newegg are VERY discerning and sickening for the ATI Tuner cards.

The Third Party app I would recommend is Beyond TV for the ATI 550 Pro based cards including ATI TV Wonder Elite.

TBH, Im afraid to purchase ANY of the solutions. Hauppauge is analog and will probably look like crap on my 30" LCD but atleast has working drivers for x64. ATI on the other hand may or may not work using a Satellite Receiver Tuner. I have a headache trying to figure out what to do here.

Looks like all one can do is just start purchasing something and if you get the wrong device purchase something else. I hate this method of buying hardware.

Well after trying to install MMC manually. I gave up. It will not install on X64 it just won't install. I reads off both of my CD's that I have it on and it looks like it is installing but it just stops and the program is never found. This really stinks as the kick-out box(the one that has the Component and S-Video input) for the video card is what I had been wanting to use for my PS2 and what you would have to use for a Sat Dish. The also PITA of this whole ordeal is the Remote is a USB device and doesn't have drivers either. HOWEVER......I do have some good news. I found a FREE third party software for using the card. It's called Winamp TV and it's basically a plug-in for Winamp the uses the TV card. The only other program I found was Beyond TV(which is great but also charges a fee).

Im starting to think x64 users will not be able to view SAT TV on their computer screens. If so, I hate having a second screen just for TV which will have to be much smaller as all this has to go into my Semi-Truck... lol

Good news. Just plugged in the kick out box for the card(the S-video and composite) and Win-Amp with the TV plug-in recognizes it. So your problem is solved. Also the winamp doesn't care if you have the checkbox marked for crossfire or not. SOOOOO basically everything is perfect except the remote stil doesn't work but I'm pretty sure you can get the card without the remote.
