Forgive me if this has been discussed elsewhere, but I'm having a hard time finding it. I'm looking for stable/good drivers for Soundblaster Live! 5.1. Linux is my primary OS and under that, this cards works great, but I do like to play Oblivion, Half-Life2, etc under XP-64. I know that there is beta drivers from Creative and have tried them, but it's been awhile and can't remember how good they were. I can't seem to find any drivers that have a user rating, so I come to you guys to help me out. (This is to get me by till future gift money comes in for another card, so please no suggestions to get such-and-such card) Who has the Soundblaster Live! 5.1 (or non-5.1) and is running it under XP-64 (or tried and remembers how it went :-) This will be connected to Creative 5.1 speakers using analog hook-up Thanks a million! Read this thread here : http://www.planetamd64.com/index.php?showtopic=37142&hl= I believe that daniel_ks driver set will work fine for you. If I remember correctly there is an option for the live 5.1 in there. You may have to download by torrent though. I use his drivers and software for my audigy 2zs and they work great under xp x64.

I had thought about that, but had thought it was only for Vista and Soundblaster 24-bit (being Audigy chip based). I'll give it a try. Might be a week or more before I get a change (hence why I'm trying to get other ppl's experiences) |

It works fine in both 32 and 64 bit xp as I have used it in both. |
