Using an HDMI cable; I have a PS3 hooked up to my 5870. My 5870 also has 2 connections to DVI ports to 2 LCD monitors. Is it possible to get the video via the 5870 to these monitors? Sound is going externally via optical to my Z-5500 speakers

The junior six-core AMD processor costs only $200, but demonstrates pretty “senior” overclocking potential. Will it be enough to regard Phenom II X6 1055T as an optimal enthusiast solution? Find out in our new review!

In reference to my previous post of looking for a laptop to be able to take around with me for web access and able to take on holiday; this is a serious n00bilicious question but can anyone help me clarify terminology on various portable computers please.

I understand the following teminology of: PDA, Smartphone, Desktop Replacement

I am having some further difficulty in pinpointing the exact definitions between:

Notebook, Netbook, Ultraportable, CULV and Laptop.

What makes one and not the other? I've seen a couple of reviews refer to the same product but using different names and it's not helping my searches for what I'm looking for.

Thank you in advance

I'm looking at getting a Netbook/Ultraportable and was hoping for any recommendations.

I don't know what (or if) the difference is between the ultraportable and the netbook.

I'm looking for something with the following properties:

  • Good to travel with so is reasonably small/light.
  • Battery life is important but I'm not going to be too picky.
  • Price would preferably be around the £300 mark but a little more for a superior product would be justifiable.
  • Wifi is a definite must.
  • DVD drive is preferable but can live without
  • Windows 7 is not something I am particulary bothered about and if I can get one without and use something like Ubuntu then that's fine.
  • Don't need a carry case as my work bag has a laptop compartment
  • Needs to be able to play at least 720 HD, I would prefer it to be able to play HD flash content (BBC's iPlayer for example)
Any more points I should consider then please feel free to let me know and your suggestions are more than welcome!

The graphics cards power consumption is always of interest to gaming fans and as the new GPU generations come out, we do our best to respond to this interest in the most extensive manner. So today, time has come for another update on this popular topic.
