I dnloaded the Vista Ent. x86 vhd for VirtualPC so I could play with it, anyhow I get it all setup install AV and stuff then I do Windows updates and after a couple of reboots SP1 comes up and I run it and it fails, oh joy. Is there a fix or since its a fresh install and just for testing should I just start over. I gave the updater 3 trys with 3 fails. I also searched for a solution and it seems to be a permissions problem I tried some quick fixes but failed at that as well.

I do contract IT for many small companies one office recently upgraded to Office 2007. I upgraded six boxes all is well except for one.
This one box belongs to a girl who does most of the companies E-Mail. This box was fine (no problems for 2 years) until the first install of Office 2007, from the get-go it corrupted word & exel docs and constantly crashed or locked up. So I decided to start fresh did a complete reinstall of Windows & got a NEW complete Office 2007 disk set (not the UPGRADE) installed and updated. All was well but only for about a week now it is back doing the same thing and it does not throw the same error, some times the box locks up hard or pops-up error report dialog. She uses Word and Outlook mainly and a few simple exel docs the main prob seems to be with word. I have run the Office diag tool many times and so has she and it ALWAYS reports the all is well and Office has NO problems (go figger). Rant over just venting some frustration. BTW I really really hate Office 2007 you guy's.
