hi, i have a little problem here, my cpu fan doesn't want to work at full speed all the time, its full speed 6500rpm and now its running 3183rpm and when the heat start to increase the fan follow until it reach 6500+rpm... regardless if i choose cool n quiet or user mode (full speed), i disabled cool n quiet but no luck...
so to make it work at full speed all the time (or at least i thought it will), i connected the fan directly to the power supply so it will be no more controlled by the motherboard but the problem remained the same, the fan start at 3183 and when the cpu heat-up it increases gradually to 6500rpm!! what is controlling the fan speed this way!? does the fan itself has a built-in chip to control its speed!? i'm confused. is there anyway to get my cpu fan works at full speed all time? my spec. is in my sig. - the fan is the stock one that came with the cpu. thanks a bunch in advance :)

I was trying to overclock my memory even more, so I tried running it at 240MHz (last max was 235) but 208 of MemTest86 errors were occurring so I decided to increase the voltage to 2.75 (2.6 is stock) and see, the Memtest86 returns 1181 errors!! so hell I said to my self why not to try DECREASING the voltage while higher voltage bring more error, maybe lowering it will prevent just that, so I did decrease the voltage to 2.55 and only 3 errors occurred, so heck this working (I said to my self) and decreased it again to 2.50 and it returned no errors, so I kept testing 5 hours and not one error, test 9 passed as well.
Isn't this just STRANGE, I’m shocked!

I have a problem with the CPU fan; before enabling cool n quiet the CPU fan speed was around 6500+ RPM but after enabling cool n quiet from BIOS and windows and installing MSI CoreCenter the fan went to 788RPM and vcore also got low, but that's normal...
The problem is that I can't get the CPU fan back to 6500+ RPM again, and I disabled cool n quite from bios and windows and uninstalled corecenter but the fan now can go higher than 3183 RPM whatever the CPU temperature is, sometimes it get to 57C and the fan won't speed up at all... Is there any way to get back to its original speed before enabling cool n quite? Thanks in advance.

1. Found Maximums:
HTT/FSB: 332 MHz @ 1.55v chipset vcore CPU: 2670 MHz @ 1.69v CPU vcore RAM: 235 MHz @ 2.60v (stock) HT: 1000 MHz 2. Final Combination: CPU: 332 x 8 = 2656 MHz @ 1.69v vcore and @ 1.55v chipset vcore RAM: 166 MHz (333 DDR) @ 2.6v - Using 1/2 (100) divider HT: 332 x 3 = 996 MHz [b] Please take a look at the attached images for more info. Have any comments, please feel free to post...

Hi everybody,
In the last few days I was attempting to overclock my computer and here are the results (maximum possible): HTT/FSB: 332 MHz @ 1.55v chipset vcore CPU: 2670 MHz @ 1.69v CPU vcore RAM: 235 MHz @ 2.60v (stock) HT: 1000 MHz So I had to find the best combination for all these to work together at the maximum, and I came up with the following combination: CPU Freq.: 332 X 8 = 2656 MHz RAM: 222MHz (Using 133 MHz Memory Setting (2:3) Divider) HT: 996 MHz (332 X 3) So, I did set the values for the CPU and for the HT as shown above while keeping the memory at 100 (1:2) to make sure the CPU overclock is working as it should, and it worked, so now all I need is just to put the ram on 2:3 to get running at 222 MHz and the overclock will be done... But the problem that the memory refused that setting and I can't post the system, strange! Cause I was able to overclock it to 235MHz using (1:1), and the dividers AFAIK doesn't have impact on the overclock while the frequency of the memory is still under the maximum value it was able to reach. Did I miss something? Notes: 1. Every single element was tested for long time using Prime95 and SuperPi and Memtest86 as appropriate (isolate and test method). 2. Memory timings are set to the default 3.0-3-3-8. 3. Spec. in my signature. Sorry for my bad english. Thanks in advance. |
