Dear all,
anyone had this one? I just installed BF1942 and DC on my new PC and it is stuttering as hell. Unplayable. I already tried disableing AV, setting afinity to one CPU. It is not crashing (like and DoD sometime) or looping sound. Feels like a mega lag (put ping is fine). Thanks Sebastian

Dear All,
a friend gave me 1Gig of Ram (1x512 PC2700+1x512 PC3200). I added it to the existing Ram and it seems to work fine. I had 2x512 DDR400 installed when i bought the PC. My question is: Is there a slow down by using these different types of memory (i guess the system runs on the speed of the slowest Ram installed). And has this slow down such a impact that it would be better to use 1Gig DDR400 instead of the 2Gig mixup? I am really bad with Ram and would appreaciate ant recommendation. Many thanks guys! (and of course girls ska

Dear all,
does anyone else experience this issue? When i start DoD the sound is stuttering while i refresh my server list/choose a server. During gameplay the sound is OK. After playing about 15 min. suddenly the screen is froozen and the soundcard repeats the last two seconds of output in a loop. No reaction to alt+f4, alt+tab, ctrl+alt+del. Teamspeak sometime still running as i can still chat with my friends. The only thing possible from that point is hitting the restart button. I always set the affinity of hl2.exe to one cpu. I do not run the 64bit version and i have nvMixer running. Once while playing i had BSOD refering to kmixer.sys. I'll try asap: uninstall nvMixer run hl2 in 32 bit mode download 64bit patch. But does anyone else has this problem (specialy with the stuttering sound at startup?) With kind regards ska

Dear All,
i have an amd x2 3800+, windows x64, asus a8n-sli deluxe system with a SATAII 200GB Samsung Hardrive .Latest nforce4 drivers from nvidia for x64 (nForce4_amd_6.69_winxp64_international_whql.exe) but i have a unknown device without driver in my device manager. In the section: IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers i have the following: NVIDIA nForce4 Parallel ATA Controller NVIDIA nForce4 Serial ATA Controller NVIDIA nForce4 Serial ATA Controller Unknown device can anyone tell me what device that is and where i can find the driver for it? The Silicon Image Raid controller is disabled in the Bios and i installed the nForce IDE SW drivers as nvidia recommends. Many thanks in advance Ska |
