Hi everyone! New user here ...

Just thought I'd tell you of my experience with the K8N51GMF-9 board. I've had my X2 system since Jan '06 and was real happy with it - except for the really limited driver support in XP64. But, this past weekend my PC just died. It was like there was no power cable connected. Except that one in a thousand attempts to switch it on did succeed.

So I reckon my PSU was dying on me and I took my box in to the shop to have the PSU swopped under warantee. The techie there gave my PC one look and said it's not the PSU, it's the motherboard. Apparently they've been returning LOADS of these motherboards with exactly this same problem.

It may just have been a bad batch that were distributed in South-Africa, but it could also be that there is a design flaw in these boards. I don't know. I would recommend people not to buy it though.

Luckily the computer shop is going to replace my board with a new MSI board at no cost to me.

Hope I can spare someone else some heartache with this ....

Cheers,
ZX_SA
