Full Version: NETGEAR WG311v3 WLAN Driver for x64 Instructions

All over the place I have seen people having huge problems installing the NETGEAR WG311v3 in Windows XP x64, because Netgear refuses to develop x64 drivers. Luckily, this card uses the Marvell Libertas chipset, which many other manufacturers are also using, so it's already done for them.

Anyways, my WG311v3 works perfectly in Windows x64 by following these instructions:

1. Go to:
http://www.skd.de/e_en/support/driver_sear...ber&system=
2. Click on "Download" for "SK-54C1 Windows XP and 2000 x64 driver".
3. Accept, download, extract.
4. Install Driver.
5. "Continue Anyways"
6. It Works!

This should work for all 8335 series Marvell Libertas chipset LAN cards in Windows x64.
(Driver Filenames: mrv8335x64.inf, MRV8335x64.sys)

(A big thanks to SysKonnect for hosting and possibly even developing these!)

hey guys
I can't get this to work
first of all i'm not even sure how to install the driver. Here's what i did:
In Device Manager --> Other devices --> Ethernet Controller --> it has a question mark
Right click --> update driver --> install from a list or specific location --> "Don't search, i will chose the driver to install" --> Next --> Show All Devices --> next --> i click on "Have Disk..." --> i locate the .inf file
Then, i get this: "the specified location does not contain software friver for your device. if the location contains a driver, make sure it is designed to work with windows for x64 based systems"
It's killing me
I followed the procedure:
Removed the netgear wg311v3 from the pci port, installed the netgear app, rebooted and put the card in, and then no pop up from the pc, nothing, installation wouldn't continue
Please help, i'm really desperate.
