Hi X

Any thoughts about fixing us up with workable scanjet drivers?

Was just wondering if you were kicking it around, or found it to be
not possible. Always keeping an eye on your posts.... praying :)

This is caused by a kernel mode driver that doesn't process the IRPs at the right IRQL. None of the beta drivers is kernel. I sugguest you make sure you update all your kernel mode drivers. You can start disabling all devices that are not essential and see if the problem goes away. Make sure you go to the device manager and set View|Devices by connection. That will show you what devices are enumerated by what bus. In the print pipeline follow USBPRINT.SYS up from the printer devnode.

Hope this helps.

I D/Led your file and when it ran it said "file not found" as far as I could tell it was hpzpr140.exe. Thus nothing is still a go. I thought going to 64 bit would be a good thing but now very little of my stuff works. I am really considering putting it in the closet and firing up my old pc that WORKED WELL. Anyways enough of  : my whining can you help me? please.gif

mmm. please run \setup\hpzrcv01.exe and post the ZIP file that will appear in your desktop.

I have installed these drivers for my printer which is a 5650.

The problem is with word and borders. Even though I have a borderless printer word refuses to accept this and even when I press ignore and it prints anyway some of the document will be missing.

Is there any way to tell word / the driver that my printer is borderless?

Thanks
Supersport
I installed these drivers when I was using windows x64, but i've recently switched back to 32-bit xp due to difficulties. I'm having a problem getting my computer to uninstall this driver so my PSC 1210 will work again in XP. When I try to install the normal xp driver from HP's website, it gets to 23% installed and fails saying that there's already a newer version of this driver on the computer and the install shuts down. When I try to use the printer, it tells me there is no driver installed and tries to install it.

I've considered reinstalling x64 on my second hard drive, then installing and then uninstalling the x64 beta driver. Would this work? Any other suggestions?

Thanks g.gif dunno.gif

Delete ANY references to {25E0F2BA-399C-4cf8-A654-53797016CB77}. They are probably in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Hewlett-Packard\Installed Products and
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Hewlett-Packard\Installed Software

I still don't understand how you "went back" to XP and got part of the registry of the x64 install nerves.gif dribble2.gif

If that doesn't work. Delete %temp% folder. Run the x32 hpzsetup.exe with -s and -log 63. Let it fail (-s is silent so no prompts). Then run \setup\hpzrcv01.exe and post the ZIP file on the desktop.

I might be wrong but I think borderless printing on HP printers aplies only to photo media and when printing photos.

Nevertheless, I warned that the drivers are a superset and are not the exact driver for all the models. They are kind of "compatible" drivers. In other words, don't expect perfection YMMV.

Hi to all,

I have a the printer Business Inkjet 1200. I tried to install the printer driver but it seems that it is not included in the driver package from X-MAN. Is any of these drivers compatible and can be used for my printer? Please help.

Thanks a lot

Troubleshooting.

Please check if you have a ZIP file named after a number (i.e: 87693420.zip) in the %temp% folder. If so PM me and attach that file(s). If not, please run \setup\hpzrcv01.exe and the file should be created in the desktop. Same thing; PM and attach the file.

Thanks everybody for trying the drivers.

Update: I got the network discovery and printer creation working  :D :  Once i am done with network scan and network photo slots I do another release.

Xrigau, you kick @$$ worthy.gif although unfortunately the installation program is not working for me on Windows 2003 Server x64 R2 Enterprise tongue.gif . Have not tried on Xp64 yet. What happens is right after the screen where it gives me a warning about my OS and it looks like things are going to work, I get a message box saying "The Parameter is incorrect", and when I click ok and the error reporting dialog does it's thing, the details button shows another messagebox with the title "Error Situation Code: 25303864" and the message says:

"The following lines were retrieved from the installation error logs.

Hi Strangely enough I heard about this topic and the site from HP (now thats a scarey thought ehhe but I have been trying to find some drivers for a friend for his Cad machine which used to have a Deskhet 1280 connected to it for printing off his work but since he upgraded to 64 bit he can no longer use it which somewhat defeats the point of going 64 bit which is a shame as the program works fine, only thng is now he is having to print off of a very old machine that is having trouble to even load the program.

So question is will the very impressive list of machines covered by your work also work fo the 1280 ??

I'm wondering if it could be because I actually have a drive mapped as X: ... which is used in those parameters?? Is there a way I can change the parameters?

Hey xrigau,

This is an excellent thread, and tool! I work for the U.S. HP Technical Support, your tool has come in handy more than once for WinXP x64 Edition biggrin.gif!

I know that HP is supposedly coming out with Basic Print & Scan support in April '06, but this is available now. The most they can do is suggest using a compatible DeskJet or PhotoSmart driver, and your tool is way better!

One question, not to hinder or harass, but any way we could get support for the following new printers?:

- HP PhotoSmart 3210 All-In-One
- HP PhotoSmart 3310 All-In-One
- HP OfficeJet 5610

These are several of HPs latest printers, that have come out in the last few months. They are using the HP CUE 5.3.0b Software Package (if you need to get the printer keys from the drivers wink.gif). They happen to be popular units on WinXP x64 Edition, as they are so new wink.gif!

Thank You for all of your hard work, keep it up thmbup.gif!

LOLOLOLOL NOW HP IS COMING TO THE MAN "XRIQAU", AND ASKING FOR SUPPORT.
MAKE SURE THEY BREAK OUT THE CHECKBOOK X, THESE DRIVERS ARE GOLD. I AM GOING TO FAX YOU A TIMECLOCK SO YOU CAN START PUNCHING IN. :)

UNBELIEVABLE..... STILL CAN NOT BELIEVE IT ... READING AGAIN... OMG
GASPING FOR AIR ROLLING ON THE FLOOR
r0nrules
READING THE ABOVE, WOULD LEAD ME TO BELIEVE ANY SUPPORT FOR SCANJETS WILL BE AT LEAST ANOTHER YEAR DOWN THE ROAD. HP HAS DONE A FINE JOB LEADING US ALL TO BELIEVE THEY WOULD BE OUT " SOON " ....FOR 16 MONTHS NOW. AND THEY WILL BE LUCKY IF THEY ARE ABLE TO GET SUPPORT OUT FOR THEIR PRINTERS ANYTIME SOON.

IS IT TIME TO GIVE UP, TOSS THE PRODUCT IN THE TRASH, MOVE ON TO A MICRO SCANNER, THROW IN THE WHITE TOWEL ( WITH HP'S BLOOD ALL OVER IT).

THIS HAS GOT TO BE THE MOST EMBARRASING THING IN THE WORLD. SHAME ON HP FOR POOR SUPPORT, MISLEADING THEIR CUSTOMERS "TELLING LIES" OR AT LEAST PROMISES THEY HAVE YET BEEN ABLE TO KEEP. BUT TO THEN COME OUT AND ASK A THIRD PARTY, TO PROVIDE SUPPORT FOR PRODUCTS THAT ARE BRAND NEW, AND THEY CANT EVEN COME UP WITH A DRIVER TO GET THEM WORKING.

A DRIVER DRIVER DRIVER DRIVER

I APOLOGIZE IF THIS THREAD SEEMS OUT OF PLACE, BUT OBVIOUSLY, THIS IS THE ONLY PLACE THAT WE KNOW PEOPLE FROM HP ACTUALLY COME. SO THIS IS THE BEST PLACE TO PARK THIS THREAD.

THANKS X FOR THE DRIVER AND EFFORT, AND FOR ALL THE PEOPLE YOU HAVE HELPED. WHAT YOU HAVE DONE HERE IS UNREAL AND UNIMAGINEABLE. NOT GOING TO BUG YOU FOR THAT SCANNER DRIVER ANY MORE, AS IT NOW LIES IN MY TRASH. I WOULD NOT EVEN TRY TO SELL IT ON EBAY FOR 1 CENT, TO SOME POOR SOUL WHO WOULD BE STUCK WITH AN HP PRODUCT AND NO SUPPORT. HAVE A WONDERFUL EVENING.. AND TO HP tongue.gif

Well, I figured it out finally. The rar extractor I had (NewzToolz) was corrupting one of the files for some reason. As soon as I downloaded a new extractor (ExtractNow) the files extracted and installed without a hitch. I first installed via USB just to easily get the drivers on my 64 bit, then moved the printer over to my notebook on the wireless network (running XP Home) and everything prints great! Thank you, thank you for this driver and this forum! worthy.gif worthy.gif

Thank you so much. I have a HP 7760, which works great. The only issue I have is when printing multiple photos, it always jams. If I print one at a time, it works over and over again with no problem. Multiple text prints work fine. I tried this in VMWare, and I do not run into this problem. I am definatly not complaining here, I am happy to print one photo at a time, as to my alternative of not printing at all.

So, thank you for your hard work, and keep up the good work. Your .17 release is MUCH less buggy as well, very happy to see that, installs have been cumbersome for me in the past, but this one installed on my first try.

Check if the driver has a dry time setting and increase it. That will leave more time to the printer to pick up the next page.

Thank for the drivers... I 've looking for a way to use my hp psc1215 device that is connected on an XP x86 machine on my network and this worked like a charm.

I just installed using local usb connection first and then I manually added a new network printer and I provided the \\server\printer name.... Nothing else was needed.

Again, thanks for a job well done.
